Teenagers today are experiencing more stress than ever. It is a major part of the tutor’s task to deal with these problems.
They realize how much more fun other things are than wasting time with social media
Social media addiction has, sadly, become all too common; it is a debilitating, obsessive problem that too many teenagers suffer from. It is a reward cycle that feeds an emotional need for their sense connection and approval by others. Teenagers are very susceptible to this.
Tutors from England have been called in to help teenagers get over this addiction. They do not criticize; they become their pupils’ best friends, someone the pupil can confide in.
Our tutors do not prevent their pupils from getting involved in social media; they just keep them so very busy all the time that they are not on social media, so much so that they become too tired to want to engage in it. This takes time and a lot of patience on the tutor’s part, but it bears good results. Their pupils enjoy the rest of the day so much – playing their favourites sports with the tutor, going to the films they like and generally enjoying themselves. They are too exhausted by the end of the day that they don’t want to bother to connect to social media apps.
Little by little the pupils come to respect and admire their tutors; they become role models and mentors; they don’t want to let them down and they realize how much more fun other things are than wasting time with social media. The addiction disappears.
