Teenagers today are experiencing more stress than ever. It is a major part of the tutor’s task to deal with these problems.
A tutor helps the pupil’s emotions come back into balance by doing many activities together
A desensitized teenage can become agressive towards his peers. This usually happens when a teenager watches too many violent and distressing videos, of which there are unfortunately too many on the internet today. In these cases the teenagers need a role model or mentor to help them get over it and Tutors from England have been called in on several occasions to help a teenager do so. Our tutor has to be very gentle with his pupil – after all, it's violence and distress that causes the problems in the first place, but with care and empathy the teenager can be brought back to normal emotions instead of the aggressive nature that was acquired during COVID's isolation which allowed too much screen time.
As the tutor is with the teenager 24 hours a day, there is no time for his or her pupil to watch any more violent or distressing videos and our tutor can spend time rebalancing the teenager’s emotions and empathy. This takes time, but slowly the relationship between tutor and pupil grows into one of close friendship and trust. As the teenager is with the tutor all day every day, playing games and doing the activities that the teenager really likes, the pupil’s emotions come back into balance and these activities can help them rediscover their emotions in a positive and healthy way and stop their aggressiveness towards their fellow schoolmates.
Tutors from England have had considerable success with teenagers desensitized by watching too many violent films during COVID, bringing them back to a healthy emotional state.
